Campaigns are the rules behind your loyalty cards. They decide how much customers earn each time they buy something, and what they can spend it on. Your team picks a campaign every time they scan a card in the Loyaltify Store app.
This overview explains how campaigns work, which cards you set them up for, and where to find the detailed guides.
💡 Example: A café's Points Card has a Purchase Campaign that gives 1 point per €1, a second one for "Double points weekend", and Redemption Campaigns for a free coffee (100 points) and a free lunch (250 points).
Two kinds of campaigns
Purchase Campaigns decide what customers earn, such as 1 point per €1, 5% cashback or a 10-class package.
Redemption Campaigns decide what customers can spend it on, such as a free coffee for 100 points.
A card can have as many of each as you like. For example, a regular Purchase Campaign plus a weekend promotion, and several rewards of different sizes.
Campaigns by card type
Cards you set up on the Campaigns page
On these cards, you create and edit your own campaigns. Each one has a detailed guide with examples:
Points Campaigns: How many points customers earn, and the rewards they can spend them on.
Cashback Campaigns: Your cashback rate, and how customers use their balance.
Prepaid Campaigns: The packages you sell, and what the credits pay for.
Read-only: managed in your card settings
On these cards, the campaigns and rewards are set up entirely in the card's own settings, so there's nothing to create or edit on the Campaigns page. See each card's guide:
Stamp Card: Your rewards are set in the card's Reward Configuration, and their campaigns are created for you.
Discount Card: The discount rate is set on the card, and its built-in campaign applies it on every purchase.
Membership Card: One built-in campaign counts visits. It can't be edited.
Coupon Card: The offer is set on the card with Campaign Label and Campaign Value, and it can be redeemed once.
Create a campaign
For a Points, Cashback or Prepaid Card:
Go to Campaigns and click + New Campaign.
Select the card the campaign is for.
Choose Purchase or Redemption.
Give it a name your team will recognise, such as "Every purchase" or "Free Coffee".
Choose the amount type, enter the amount and click Save.
There are up to three amount types, depending on the card:
Multiplier: Based on what the customer spends, such as 1 point per €1 or 5% cashback. Points and Cashback Cards only.
Fixed Amount: The same amount every time. Staff can't change it.
Custom Amount: A default amount that staff can change at the counter.
Manage your campaigns
Use the card filter at the top right to see the campaigns for one card.
Click the pencil icon to edit a campaign, or the bin icon to delete it.
⚠️ Each campaign belongs to the card it was created for, and it can't be moved to another card. There's also no option to apply one campaign to all your cards.
How your team uses campaigns
When your team scans a card in the Loyaltify Store app, they pick the campaign that matches the purchase or the reward. If a card has more than one, such as a regular campaign and a weekend promotion, they choose the one that applies.
For the full walkthrough, see How to scan cards with the Loyaltify Store app.
Good to know
Running a promotion? Add an extra Purchase Campaign, such as "Double points weekend", and delete it when the promotion ends.
Changing your offer every month? Edit your campaigns and card design, then send your customers a notification to let them know.
Give campaigns clear names. Your team sees them in the Store app, so names like "Free Coffee" are easier to pick than "Reward 1".
