Overview
A Stamp Card is a simple, visual loyalty program where customers collect digital stamps for repeat purchases.
Traditionally, a customer would collect stamps until they reached the final reward. For example:
Buy 8 coffees and get the next one free.
With Loyaltify, you can now make Stamp Cards more engaging by adding milestone rewards throughout the stamp cycle.
For example:
Stamp 4: Coffee
Stamp 8: Croissant
This means customers can unlock smaller rewards before reaching the final reward, helping keep them motivated throughout the full journey.
Stamp Cards work especially well for businesses that rely on regular customer visits, such as:
Cafes
Restaurants
Salons
Barbershops
Bakeries
Boutiques
Juice bars
Beauty studios
Why Businesses Love Stamp Cards
Stamp Cards are popular because they are simple, visual, and easy for customers to understand.
They help businesses:
Encourage repeat visits
Increase customer retention
Build a clear reward habit
Motivate customers with progress-based rewards
Offer milestone rewards before the final reward
Keep customers engaged throughout the full stamp cycle
Manage rewards digitally without paper cards
How It Works
1. Card Issuance
Customers receive a digital Stamp Card when they join your loyalty program.
2. Stamp Collection
For every qualifying purchase or visit, the customer receives a digital stamp.
For example:
1 coffee purchase = 1 stamp
1 haircut = 1 stamp
1 lunch visit = 1 stamp
3. Milestone Rewards
You can create milestone rewards that become available before the final reward.
Example:
Stamp 4 = Coffee
Stamp 8 = Croissant
When the customer reaches Stamp 4, the Coffee reward becomes available.
4. Final Reward
The final reward is unlocked when the customer completes the full stamp cycle.
For example, on an 8-stamp card, the final reward could be unlocked at Stamp 8.
5. Reward Redemption
Staff can redeem available rewards using the Loyaltify Store App.
6. Repeat
After the final reward is redeemed, the stamp cycle resets and the customer can start collecting again.
Real Example
A cafe creates an 8-stamp card:
Customers earn 1 stamp for each coffee purchase
At Stamp 4, they unlock a free Coffee
At Stamp 8, they unlock a free Croissant
This rewards customers midway through the journey and another reward at the end of the cycle.
Creating a Stamp Card in Loyaltify
1. Basic Information
Navigate to:
Loyalty Cards > New Loyalty Card
Then enter the basic card details:
Card Name: Assign a name to the card
Loyalty Card Type: Choose Stamp
2. Appearance
Customize the design of your card:
Choose a background colour or upload a background image
Recommended background image size: 1140 × 435 px
Choose a text colour that is visible and aligned with your brand
Preview the card design in real time
3. Stamp Configuration
Set up how your Stamp Card works:
Upload or select a stamp icon
Set the stamp background colour
Define how many stamps are needed to complete the card
Optionally, give new customers bonus stamps when they sign up
For example, you can create an 8-stamp card where the customer receives a final reward after collecting all 8 stamps.
Reward Configuration
Stamp Cards support milestone rewards plus a final reward.
The milestone rewards are a nice way to keep the customer engaged throughout the stamp collecting journey, but it is not mandatory.
This allows you to reward customers before they complete the full stamp cycle.
For each reward, you can configure:
The stamp number required to unlock the reward
The reward name
The reward icon or visual display, where available
Example:
Stamp 4: Coffee
Stamp 8: Croissant
You can add more than one Milestone reward, but can only have one Final Reward to be redeemed.
💡 Milestone rewards are not mandatory. They are optional.
Advanced Settings

Card expiration
Choose how long your loyalty card stays valid:
Fixed Date: Expires on a chosen date (e.g., Dec 31, 2028)
Relative Date: Expires X days/months/years after card issuance
Note: If you enable card expiration after the card has already been issued, the expiration rule will apply only to cards created or updated from that point onward. Likewise, if you disable expiration later, cards issued during the active period will still follow the expiration rule—only newly issued cards will remain unaffected.
Stamp Expiration
Set an expiration for individual stamps:
Fixed: All stamps expire on a specific date
Relative: Each stamp expires based on when it was earned (e.g., 12 months later)
Note: If you enable stamp expiration after the card has been issued, it will only apply to stamps collected from that point forward. Similarly, if you later disable this feature, stamps issued during the active period will still retain their expiration settings—only future stamps will be unaffected.
Restriction for earning stamps
Limit stamp earning frequency.
Example: Maximum 8 stamps per week per customer.
Layout Customization
You can customize which information appears on the card by editing the layout fields.
Go to:
Card Settings > Advanced Settings > Customize Card Layout
You can choose what appears in the card fields, including options such as:
Rewards and stamps
Rewards only
Stamps only
Valid until
Member information
Birthday
REWARD
The new REWARD field is especially useful for Stamp Cards because it shows the customer’s next available reward or reward progress.
For example:
Coffee · 1 to go
🎁 Coffee
🎁 Croissant
To show the next reward on the front of the card, set:
Right Field = REWARD
⚠️ Header Field is only supported by Apple Wallet, therefore it wouldn't be visible on cards on Google Wallet.
Redeeming Rewards in the Loyaltify Store App
When a customer has available rewards, staff can redeem them directly in the Loyaltify Store App.
The app shows the available rewards separately, based on the reward milestone.
Example:
Stamp 4: Coffee
Stamp 8: Croissant
Important: Redeem Milestone Rewards First
If a customer has earned both a milestone reward and the final reward, the milestone reward should be redeemed first.
Redeeming the final reward resets the Stamp Card cycle. If an earned milestone reward has not been redeemed yet, it will be lost after the reset.
To help prevent mistakes, the Loyaltify Store App displays a warning if staff try to redeem the final reward before redeeming an available milestone reward.
Referral Program
