New for Stamp Cards: Add Milestone Rewards and Show the Next Reward on the Card

Learn how to add milestone rewards to Stamp Cards, display the next reward and stamps remaining, show available or claimed rewards, and redeem milestone and final rewards correctly in the Loyaltify Store App.

Written by Berke Atik

We’ve just released an important update for Stamp Cards.

Until now, Loyaltify Stamp Cards only supported a single reward per completed stamp cycle, and the Rewards field on the card layout could only show the number of rewards earned.

With this new update, customers can now see what reward is coming next, how many stamps are left, and which rewards are available or already claimed.

This makes Stamp Cards much clearer and more motivating for customers, especially when using milestone rewards before the final reward.

What’s new

With the new REWARD layout field, your customers can now see:

  • The next reward they are working toward

  • How many stamps are left until that reward is unlocked

  • When a reward is available

  • On the back of the card, which reward belongs to which stamp milestone

  • Whether a reward is available or already claimed

For example, if your card has:

  • Stamp 4 = Coffee

  • Stamp 8 = Croissant

A customer may see:

  • “Coffee • 1 to go” when they are one stamp away from the milestone reward

  • “🎁 Coffee” once the reward is available

  • “🎁 Croissant” when the final reward becomes available

How this works

Before

Previously, Stamp Cards only showed the number of rewards earned, not the actual reward itself.

Now

If you set the card’s Right Field to REWARD, the card will dynamically show:

  • the next reward

  • how many stamps remain until it is unlocked

  • or, if the reward is already unlocked, that the reward is available

On the back of the card, customers can also see:

  • each reward milestone

  • which stamp unlocks it

  • whether it has been claimed

  • whether it is currently available

How to enable it

This new display is not automatically enabled on existing Stamp Cards.

To use it, there are 2 steps:

Step 1: Name your rewards

For existing Stamp Cards, businesses currently only have the Final Reward.

The name of the current Final Reward is automatically taken from the existing campaign, but you can edit it.

If you want to use milestone rewards too, you can add them and name them as needed.

Example:

  • Stamp 4 = Coffee

  • Stamp 8 = Croissant

Step 2: Set the card layout to show REWARD

Go to:

Card Settings > Advanced Settings > Customize Card Layout

Then set:

Right Field = REWARD

Once selected, the card will show the next or available reward on the front of the card.

What customers will see

1. When they are still working toward the next reward

The card will show the next reward and the remaining number of stamps.

Example:
Croissant • 2 to go

2. When a reward is available

Once the reward is unlocked, the card will show that reward as available.

Example:
🎁 Coffee

You can also use milestone rewards plus a final reward in the same card cycle.

Example:

  • Stamp 4 = Coffee

  • Stamp 8 = Croissant

3. On the back of the card

Customers can also check the back of their card to see:

  • all reward milestones

  • which stamp unlocks each reward

  • whether the reward is available

  • whether it has already been claimed

Redeeming rewards in the Loyaltify Store App

When a customer has unlocked rewards, staff can redeem them directly in the Loyaltify Store App.

The app shows each available reward separately, based on the stamp milestone.

For example:

  • Stamp 4 = Coffee

  • Stamp 8 = Croissant

⚠️ Important: Redeem milestone rewards before the final reward

If a customer has earned a milestone reward and also reached the final reward, the milestone reward should be redeemed first.

Why?

Redeeming the final reward resets the card cycle. If an earned milestone reward has not been redeemed yet, it would be lost after the reset.

To help prevent mistakes, the Loyaltify Store App shows a warning if staff try to redeem the final reward first.

Example

Here is a simple example of how this works:

  • Total card length: 8 stamps

  • Stamp 4 reward: Coffee

  • Stamp 8 reward: Croissant

A customer progresses through the card like this:

  • Before stamp 4, they see the next reward and how many stamps are left

  • At stamp 4, Coffee becomes available

  • Later, they continue progressing toward the final reward

  • At stamp 8, Croissant becomes available

  • If Coffee was earned but not redeemed yet, it should be redeemed before Croissant, otherwise it will be lost when the final reward resets the card

Why this update matters

This update makes Stamp Cards much more engaging because customers can clearly see:

  • what they are working toward

  • how close they are

  • what rewards they already unlocked

  • what has already been claimed

It also gives businesses more flexibility to create stronger loyalty journeys with milestone rewards plus a final reward.
