The Loyaltify Store app is what your team uses at the counter to add stamps, points or credit, and to redeem rewards.
Scanning works the same way for every card, but what you see next depends on the type of loyalty card. This guide walks you through each one, so your team always knows what to tap.
Don't have the app yet? See How to download the Loyaltify Store app.
Step 1: Scan the customer's card
When you open the app, it goes straight to the camera.
Ask the customer to open their loyalty card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, then point your camera at the QR code on their card.
Can't scan the card? You can also type in the customer's ID, shown just under the QR code on their card, or search for them by name.
💡 Good to know: The app needs an internet connection to scan. Scans can't be saved offline, so make sure your phone or tablet is connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data.
Step 2: Add stamps, points or credit
Once the card is scanned, you'll see the customer's name and current balance, along with the options for their card type. Find the card you use below.
Stamp Card
You'll see the customer's stamps, an Add 1 Stamp button, Redeem and Cancel.
Use + and − to choose how many stamps to give. The button updates as you go, for example Add 3 Stamps.
Tap the button to add the stamps.
Points Card
You'll see two options: Give Points and Redeem.
Tap Give Points.
Select the campaign that matches the purchase. These are the purchase campaigns you've set up for this card under Campaigns.
If the campaign isn't a fixed amount, enter the purchase amount. The app works out the points for you.
💡 Good to know: Amounts are rounded down, so a purchase of €22.57 earns points on €22.
Cashback Card
You'll see two options: Give Money and Redeem.
Tap Give Money.
Select the campaign that matches the purchase.
If the campaign isn't a fixed amount, enter the purchase amount. The app works out the cashback for you.
Prepaid Card
You'll see two options: + Add to Balance and − Use Balance.
+ Add to Balance: Use this when the customer pays for credit, such as a bundle of coffees.
− Use Balance: Use this when the customer spends their credit.
For both, select the campaign you need. If it isn't a fixed amount, enter the amount.
Discount Card
You'll see one option: % Give Discount.
Tap % Give Discount.
Enter the purchase amount.
The app shows the purchase amount, the discount being applied and how much the customer pays, so you can charge the right total at the till.
Membership Card
You'll see one option: Add Visit. Tap it to record the customer's visit.
Coupon Card
You'll see one option: Redeem. Tap it to use the customer's coupon (see Step 3).
💡 Good to know: Once you confirm, the new balance is saved and sent to the customer's card in their Wallet. Tap Cancel if you scanned the wrong card or want to go back without changing anything.
Step 3: Redeem a reward
Tap Redeem to see the rewards for this card. These are the redemption campaigns you've set up for it under Campaigns. See Campaigns to set them up.
Green rewards are ready to claim. Tap one to redeem it.
Greyed-out rewards in red are ones the customer is still working towards. They can't be selected yet.
On a Stamp Card, the list shows your milestone rewards (if you have any) and the final reward. If the customer doesn't have a reward ready yet, the Redeem button is greyed out.
💡 Tip for Stamp Cards: Redeem milestone rewards before the final reward. Redeeming the final reward starts a new card, and any milestone rewards that weren't claimed are lost. The app will warn you if you try the final reward first.
💡 Tip for Cashback and Prepaid Cards: When you enter an amount to redeem or use, check the customer's balance first. The app doesn't stop you from taking more than they have.
Find a customer in the app
The Customers tab lists your customers and their current balances.
Tap a customer to see their details, such as their name, phone number and email, and to add to or redeem from their card without scanning it.
💡 Good to know: Everyone on your team who uses the app can see this tab and your customers' balances.
Switch between stores
Tap Account (bottom right) to see who's logged in and which store you're working in.
If you run more than one store, you'll see a list of them here. Tap a store to switch to it.
💡 Tip: Seeing a "trial period expired" message in the app? You're probably on the wrong store. Switch to the right one under Account.
Something not working?
The scan fails with "Error occurred": The customer's card has probably expired. On the Loyaltify platform, go to Customers, edit the customer and extend their expiry date.
Every scan fails with a daily limit error: Open the card's settings on the platform, set the earning restriction again and save.
The camera shows a blank screen: Check the app is allowed to use the camera in your phone's settings (on iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera). Close any other app using the camera, then restart your device.
The scanner keeps loading on Android: Log out and back in. If that doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall the app.
The customer's card still shows the old balance: Ask them to open the card in their Wallet, go to Card Details and pull down to refresh.
A handheld barcode scanner doesn't work: The app works with your device's camera, so use the camera to scan instead.
Customers can't scan a QR code themselves to collect stamps. Your team always scans the customer's card.
